Mission: Why we are here?

Jesus commissioned his disciples to help more people discover new life in him. Jesus put it like this: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

This is still the mission of the church today, nearly 2000 years later!

Values: What matters around here?

Here are some of the things that matter most to us in how we live as a church community. Each one describes something which is already important to us, and which God is calling us deeper into.

Mission: Being good news

Engaged in local and global mission, community transforming, all on mission.

Authentic Community: Being home for all

Valuing everyone, known and loved, being home, thriving.

Transformation: Being shaped by Jesus

Maturing disciples, developing leaders, authentic transformation, applying God’s word.

Courageous: Being boldly confident in Jesus

Living boldly in all things, trusting Jesus more, spurring each other on.

Holy Spirit Empowered: Being utterly dependent on God

Expecting miracles, prophetic, spiritually passionate, with prayer at the heart of all we do.

Sacrificial Service: Being generous at all times

Serving people in our communities and around the world, generous with all God has given, continually thankful.

We would love to say that this list of values fully describes us as we are now.
It doesn’t yet. These words are aspirational and prophetic, calling us from where we are now into who God is shaping us to be. We are committed to working towards this together.

A welcoming church community in which everyone is valued and in which each person is encouraged, equipped and empowered to love and follow Jesus.
