What should I expect on a Sunday?
When you arrive at the entrance one or two people from the church will greet you as you come in and will help you to find where to go. If it is your first time, please do let our team know and they’ll be able to answer any questions you may have – or will find someone who can.
Our Sunday services start at 10am and finish at around 11.30am (ish) and many people stay for drinks and a chat after the service too. After each service there is opportunity for people to receive prayer. If you’d like someone to pray with you, please ask one of our welcome team, or one of those who are leading the service.
What happens for children?
Radiant Kids (5-11s) and Sparklers (2.5-5s) meet in fun and action packed sessions with singing, stories, teaching, prayer, games & more. We go out during the worship in the main service, do look out for someone from our team (usually wearing a green t-shirt) signalling when it’s time to go downstairs. Our Sparklers group for our pre school children runs during the sermon each Sunday, and we’ll direct you where to go at the relevant time during the service.
For more information, please see our full page of information about Radiant Kids here
We also have a well equipped creche where parents can take their 0-2.5 year olds. Please ask one of our team to show you where it is.
Where do I park? How do I get to you?
More information is available on the directions page here. Our Sunday morning we meet at our building on Hanover Road in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. There is usually plenty of parking available on a Sunday morning in the multi-storey car parks which are situated within a very short distance away. There is usually a charge for parking in these car parks. If you are using our South Site on Broadmead during the week there is a car park available at the church as well as on-street parking around the building.
I’d like someone to pray for me…
We’ve found again and again that God not only exists but meets us as we come to him. We’ve had the privilege of praying with hundreds of people and seeing some amazing breakthroughs as God changes our situations around. We’d love to pray with you if you would like us to. Please let us know by getting in touch with us via the contact page or by coming along and responding during one of the opportunities that are given for people to receive prayer during the services.
What else is going on through the week?
There are different activities taking place during the week at The Wells Church for everyone and the details of many of these are available on this site.
Once I’ve joined on a Sunday, how do I get more involved?
When you join us on a Sunday we hope you’ll want to come back and find out more. To help you get into the life of the church our Getting Connected course is a great place to start. Following on from that we have a range of Life Groups which connect people together in more accessible ways across the whole church. More details can be found here.
I’ve got a question which wasn’t answered here…
We’ve answered a few of the most frequently asked questions here and are very happy to try to answer any others you may have. Please feel free to contact us using the form on the contact page, or click here.
